Tied to a Higher Standard

Most flies are tied to look good in a plastic bin. Ours are tied to survive the strike. At Clearcast Fly Ltd, we obsess over the geometry of the hook, the buoyancy of the hackle, and the durability of every wrap. We use competition-grade materials to ensure that when you finally find that rising fish, your fly performs exactly how you imagined. No shortcuts. Just surgical precision for the modern angler.

No More Refusals

Tired of seeing fish rise and turn away at the last second? Our profiles are anatomically precise, matching the silhouette and "footprint" of the natural insect perfectly.

Built for the Strike

Most commercial flies unravel after one fish. We use reinforced threading and double-whip finishes so your fly survives the net, the forceps, and the next cast.

Where it Counts

Our flies don't just sink; they hunt. We use heavy-grade tungsten and slim profiles to get your fly into the feeding zone faster and keep it there longer.

Current Favorites

The water is changing. Right now, the fish are looking for Caddis and Midges. Don't Reach for the Wrong Bug.

The Bespoke Bench

Sometimes the hatch requires something that doesn't exist in a catalog. If you’re heading to a specific river or chasing a fish that has seen every standard pattern in the book, let’s collaborate. I offer custom tying services for anglers who need surgical precision. Send over your specs, and I’ll get to work on a box designed specifically for your water.

Fly Sets (The "Grab & Go" Catalog)

You shouldn't have to spend your morning at the fly shop guessing what's in the film. We’ve done the legwork. These sets are grouped by the specific problems they solve, whether that’s technical tailwater midges or searching high-mountain pocket water. It’s the easiest way to ensure you have the right silhouette for the right moment, without the fluff.

The Quality Standards

What materials do you use at the vice?

We don't believe in "filler" materials. Every fly is built on high-carbon, chemically sharpened hooks (primarily Hanak and Ahrex) to ensure your hook-set stays buried. We exclusively use Whiting Farms hackle for superior floatability and premium UV-reflective dubbings to catch that extra bit of light in deep water.

How long until these hit my fly box?

We know you have a trip coming up. In-stock flies from the Fly Bar typically ship within 72 hours via tracked mail. For Custom Orders, please allow a 2-3 weeks lead time; quality bench-work can’t be rushed, and we want to ensure every wrap is perfect before they leave the bench.

I’m not sure what to buy for my local river. Can you help?

Absolutely. If you’re staring at a hatch you don't recognize, shoot us a message on WhatsApp or email with a photo of the bug or your general location. We’ll help you "Match the Hatch" with a selection from our current inventory so you aren't wasting casts.

How many takes will these flies survive?

Our flies aren't "one-and-done." We double-whip finish and use reinforced threading on all our nymphs and streamers. To maximize the life of your dries, we recommend using a high-quality desiccant shake and avoiding forceps on the hackle. Built to be fished, not just admired.
